Cafe Attendant
We require a Casual Cafe Attendant to join our team. Successful candidates will be required for an immediate start and will be required to work approximately20 hours per week (with the possibility for more during staff holidays and staff leave) on a rotating roster which includes during the day and at night on weekdays and weekends.
The successful applicants will be required to:
Provide point-of-sale service which will include providing customers with food and beverages as well as taking orders.
Make beverages such as milkshakes, thickshakes, Slush Puppies and espresso coffee products.
Be responsible for the overall cleanliness of the entire Bistro environment on a day-to-day basis.
Have a friendly and outgoing personality with exceptional presentation.
Work calmly and effectively in busy environments.
Collect, wash, dry and restock cutlery, crockery and other cookware.
Restock fridges and displays.
Show exceptional cash handling skills.
Have a minimum of basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to operate our industry-specific computer software.
Obtain or hold current Queensland RSA, Blue Card (Working with Children Check), General Food Handling qualifications prior to commencing work.
Clean the centre and it’s equipment regularly.
Previous hospitality & commercial short-order cook experience would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Junior Attendants & Birthday Party Attendants
We require Junior Attendants & Birthday Party Attendants to join our team. Successful candidates will be required for an immediate start & will be required to work up to 12 hours per week (more on school holidays) which will include after-school and weekend shifts. Must be available most Saturdays. These roles would suit school-aged applicants.
The successful applicants will be required to:
- Provide point-of-sale service at our Café, Bowling & Arcade counters
- Provide customers with food and beverages as well as taking orders for our short-order cooks.
- Assisting customers with bowling activities such as assigning lanes, handing out / collecting shoes etc.
- Selling games cards to Arcade customers and assisting customers to redeem collected points for prizes at the redemption counter.
- Co-ordinate and oversee Birthday Parties
- Have a friendly and outgoing personality with exceptional presentation.
- Flexibly & reliably work a rotating roster including nights & weekends.
- Work calmly and effectively in busy environments.
- Collect, wash, dry and restock cutlery and crockery.
- Restock fridges, food stock and redemption prize displays.
- Show exceptional cash handling skills.
- Have a minimum of basic computer skills and the ability to learn how to operate our industry-specific computer software.
- Hold or be able to obtain Queensland RSA, Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and General Food Handling qualifications before commencement of employment.
- Clean the centre and it’s equipment regularly.
Previous hospitality and/or retail experience would be advantageous but not necessary as full training will be provided to the successful applicants.
